“I think [George Jones] called dad a ‘Conway Twitty, singing son of a bitch’,” Shooter Jennings said. “That’s when my dad tied him to a tree… George sat there screaming, ‘I’m the greatest country singer of all time.’ Then my dad opened up the door and said, ‘Yeah, and you’re tied to a f— tree.’”

There's little doubt that rock n roll was born with Memphis' Sun Records in the mid-1950s. Sam Phillips started recording the blues, and captured the voices of new talent from the area, like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. The rest was rockabilly history. This band shirt design features the famous yellow Sun Records logo, and it says "Where Rock n Roll was Born" and the year of Sun's founding, 1952. The bottom reads "Memphis, Tennessee".
