Jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and prolific composer Bhumibol Adulyadej, who performed with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Benny Goodman, Stan Getz, Lionel Hampton, and Benny Carter, was probably better known for his day job as the King of Thailand for over five decades.

This rootsy John Lee Hooker logo t-shirt was scanned straight off of the 1960 first vinyl record pressing of Hooker's acclaimed album, The Country Blues of John Lee Hooker, on Riverside Records. The distresses and brush strokes feature prominently in this interesting sixty year old hand-drawn lettering.

The unique album introduced Hooker's acoustic roots to the world. Until then, he was well known for his methodic electric guitar numbers on Vee Jay records. But Country Blues was just John Lee with an acoustic guitar, playing the music he'd first mastered coming up in the Mississippi Delta.
