After Wilson Pickett recorded his now-iconic song “Mustang Sally”, the tape machine broke & cut the tape into dozens of small pieces. Engineer Tom Dowd stitched them back together by hand.

This extra comfortable sweatshirt is 8.5oz 80/20 cotton/polyester blend, with 100% cotton face (20 singles face yarn). It features a 1x1 ribbing at collar, cuffs and waistband, a tear-away label, and split stitch double needle sewing on all seams. The fit is very standard.

Chicago's Checker Records was a subsidiary of the legendary Chess Records, and specialized in blues, rhythm and blues, and early rock and roll. The label helped trailblaze popular music with music by legendary artists like Bo Diddley, Little Walter, and Sonny Boy Williamson. Checker Records dissolved in the 1970s
