Born Jamesetta Hawkins on January 25, 1938, Etta was discovered by bandleader Johnny Otis — but she found success at the one and only Chess Records in Chicago. With one of the most soulful voices in music history, Etta was most known for hits including “At Last!”, “I’d Rather Go Blind” and “Sunday Kind of Love”. Her illustrious career that spanned six decades!
