Born in Ferriday, Louisiana, Jerry Lee Lewis rose to prominence in the 1950s with his wild piano songs, and being a rock n roll pioneer at Sun Records, along with Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. Jerry set the world on fire when Sun released his soon-to-be smash hit “Great Balls of Fire” in 1957. He shook the nerves and rattled the brains of the country all the way to #2 on the Billboard and #3 on the R&B Chart.  Lewis won four Grammys, was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, Memphis Music Hall of Fame in 2012, Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022, and had a 1989 movie about his life, featuring Dennis Quaid as The Killer.
