About Miles Davis

Arguably the most accomplished trumpet player in history, Miles Davis’ body of work spans nearly fifty years. With unforgettable albums including Miles Ahead, Sketches of Spain, platinum-selling Bitches Brew, Jack Johnson, and the best-selling Jazz album of all time — 1959’s Kind of Blue. Miles won eight Grammy Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, and 77th Street in New York was renamed “Miles Davis Way” in 2014 to honor of the trumpet player’s longtime residence.
