All other Heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% poly. Sizes run true. These t shirts are lighter and slightly more fitted compared to the Classic Gildan tees.

This tee design pays homage to the legendary yet short-lived New York City music club The Scene. The design features the club's famed address on 46th. The JU 2-5760 on the shirt was the club's phone number, which was printed on all of the club's original marketing material & signage. So we dutifully recreated this detail. The bottom text reads "Live Music Every Night!" and "Established 1964".

Steve Pauls' THE SCENE operated for five glorious years in the mid-1960s New York City. Nestled in a basement on West 46th Street in Manhattan, the venue was a sanctuary for musical experimentation between kindred spirits.

The Scene was a hotbed for long after-hours jams with musicians coming through New York. It became a favorite jam spot for Jimi Hendrix. Lucky Scene patrons would get to witness B.B. King and Hendrix jamming, or Hendrix and Johnny Winter. Velvet Underground frequented The Scene, as well as Pink Floyd, Traffic, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors and Al Kooper, among many others. The club was a shining light of culture & creativity, inspiring the most creative minds of the 1960s, who in turn inspired generations. Ultimately, the storied club shut down abruptly due to protection threats from the mafia.

But in a twist of fate, owner Steve Paul immediately pivoted and turned The Scene staff into employees of his new record label, Blue Sky Records, which released, among other classics, Muddy Waters' three comeback albums: Hard Again, I'm Ready and King Bee and a string of Johnny Winter's best works.
