Acclaimed Chicago Blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin recalled a time Howlin’ Wolf’s girlfriend “shot him in the ass with a shotgun full of buckshot” in a case of mistaken identity over some ladies underwear on the blues great’s tour bus. He was reportedly laid up on his stomach for three weeks.
