Howlin’ Wolf was actually partially responsible for the founding of Sun Records in 1952. After founder Sam Phillips had to send Wolf to Chess Records in Chicago because he didn’t have his own label, he started Sun Records — and changed music forever.

This slipmat features the Culpeper Minutemen flag, which was carried by a Virginia militia unit during the early years of the American Revolution. It featuring a coiled rattlesnake and the motto “Liberty or Death,” for the spirit of ordinary citizen soldiers who took up arms in defense of local freedom.
