This Bluescentric exclusive Big Brother and the Holding Company Cheap Thrills t-shirt is available in premium lightweight 4.2oz vintage style sizes up to 4XL, and a variety of colors.
Solid colors are 100% combed, ringspun cotton. Athletic Heather is 90% cotton. All other Heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% poly. Sizes run true. These t shirts are lighter and slightly more fitted compared to the Classic Gildan tees.
Cheap Thrills album artwork was designed by the great counterculture cartoonist Robert Crumb.
Released in the summer of 1968, Cheap Thrills was technically the second album by Big Brother and the Holding Company (they cut their first album for gas money home when stranded after a gig in Chicago). While it sounded live, the live audience was overdubbed (except the last track, which actually was live).
The album was a breakout hit, washing over #1 on the charts for eight weeks, while "Piece of My Heart" became a breakaway hit.
