On December 3rd, 1976, gunmen attempted to assassinate Bob Marley before a politically charged concert. He was shot in the chest, his wife Rita was shot in the head, his manager & staff were shot, all survived. Before being executed for the attempt, the gunmen said they were contracted for the job by the United States CIA. Wounded, Marley defiantly played the concert.

The Bluescentric Brand Black Patti Backstage Racerback Tank is available in comfortable, relaxed-fit women's sizes up to 2XL. The material is premium fabric-laundered 4.2oz triblend 50/25/25 polyester/combed ringspun cotton/rayon with a racer back.

Even though Black Patti Records opened & closed in the same 1927 year, the scrappy upstart unquely managed to capture 55 (known) songs that showcased a growing & changing American sound in the label's home town of Chicago, Illinois.

As the label closed so quickly, few records managed to reach the market, and now Black Patti are sought-after rarities for record collectors.

This t-shirt print features the original Black Patti logo, with some light period-appropriate distress and linotype lettering that was common for prints of the era, including the faled Black Patti records. The peacock is a brilliant blue cascading into gold trim to match the logo colors. The text reads "Electrically Recorded" and "The Chicago Record Co. / Chicago, Ill."
