“Home of the brave, land of the free, I don’t wanna be mistreated by no bourgeoisie” – Lead Belly

Released in January of 1960, Have Guitar Will Travel was Bo Diddley's third album. The famous cover of Bo on a Scooter was taken on Livingston Street in Brooklyn, New York. Bo's business card intentionally resembled the Have Gun Will Travel calling card.

Bo wrote nearly every song on the album, which prominently featured Diddley's droning signature rock n roll beat and hits like Cops and Robbers, She's Alright and Mumblin' Guitar. Music from Have Guitar was covered by, among others, The Rolling Stones and George Thorogood.
