The refrain from The Clash’s 1982 song “Straight To Hell” was used twenty five years later as the hook for M.I.A.’s 2007 smash hit “Paper Planes”. Members of The Clash got songwriting credit on the track.

At the pinnacle of Bob Dylan's career, a 1966 motorcycle crash left him unable to perform. So in 1967, Bob and his backing band, The Hawks (soon to be The Band), began playing music in their homes around Woodstock, New York -- including Big Pink, the house The Band had rented (at $125 per month).

It would take eight grueling years before Columbia Records would finally release what would become the iconic Americana album The Basement Tapes in 1975.
