WELCOME TO THE NEW BLUESCENTRIC WEBSITE!

Full Circle! In 1968, David Bowie wrote English lyrics for a French song called “”Comme d’habitude”, which the French rejected because Bowie was an unknown. Songwriter Paul Anka soon re-wrote the song, and Frank Sinatra released it as “My Way”. In turn, Bowie re-re-wrote the lyrics in 1970 as “Life On Mars?” and had his own huge hit.

This is an official Bob Dylan & The Band t-shirt featuring "The Basement Tapes" album cover with light distress around the edges.

Every sale benefits the band! This t-shirt is available in long sleeve sizes up to 5XL, the material is pre-shrunk 100% heavy cotton (athletic heather 99%) 6oz with side seams and double-needle sleeve and bottom hem.

At the height of Bob Dylan's career, a 1966 motorcycle crash left him unable to perform. So Bob and the backing band he'd recently hired from Ronnie Hawkins retired to Woodstock, New York, where they began playing music for fun in the basement of the band's house, lovingly nicknamed "Big Pink".

It would take eight grueling years before Columbia Records would finally release what would become the iconic Americana album The Basement Tapes in 1975.
