After the tragic death of saxophonist Charlie “Bird” Parker, his friend poet Ted Joans began writing “Bird Lives” all over New York City. The campaign took a life of its own, and BIRD LIVES can still occasionally be found scrawled on sidewalks, walls and bathroom stalls.

Some of the oldest & most well-known New Orleans street names feature charming embedded tiles at the intersections, one of a million artistic little details the Crescent City is famous for. This design features the Bourbon Street lettering, with slight tile imperfections just like the real markers. The text below it reads "New Orleans, Louisiana"
