In addition to his famous “The Velvet Underground & Nico” 1967 banana album cover, Andy Warhol also designed album covers for Thelonious Monk, Count Basie, Kenny Burrell, and even a cover for Tennessee Williams reading his plays.

Cobra Records was founded in 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, capturing a slice of the golden era of blues with Otis Rush, Sunnyland Slim, Magic Sam and even a young Buddy Guy. The label folded after the founder was discovered dead at the bottom of Lake Michigan under mysterious circumstances.
