Despite being a massive hit, the 1959 Barrett Strong/Berry Gordy song “MONEY (THAT’S WHAT I WANT)” featured “two white kids walking home from high school” who heard the music from Detroit’s Hitsville & asked to play along. They were never identified.

Cobra Records captured some of the hottest Chicago Blues of the 1950s, releasing tracks from Otis Rush and Magic Sam, and a young Buddy Guy, who'd just moved to town in 1957. The mysterious death of Cobra's owner in 1959 shuttered the label.

This Cobra Records T Shirt design was printed using an actual Cobra vinyl record for maximum authenticity.
