Al Green was born “Albert Greene” April 13, 1946 in Forrest City, Arkansas, to a family of sharecroppers.

This Bluescentric Brand blues music t-shirt is available in premium lightweight 4.2oz vintage style sizes up to 4XL. Solid colors are 100% combed, ringspun cotton. Athletic Heather is 90% cotton. All other Heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% poly. Sizes run true. These t shirts are lighter and slightly more fitted compared to the Classic Gildan tees.

This t-shirt design features a photo of blues guitar great Blind Willie McTell with a twelve string guitar in a hotel room in Atlanta, Georgia.

Taken in November of 1940, McTell would have been 42 years old. Interestingly, the photo was taken by Ruby Lomax, the wife of great musicologist Alan Lomax. The photo now resides in the Library of Congress for posterity.

Blurry and dramatic, posing with an unusual guitar and obscured face, McTell fittingly resembles a ghost in this photo.

To accentuate this, the photo has been sepia toned, and the light version of the shirt design prints only the black from the photo, while the dark prints only the light. The text in the bottom says "Blind Willie McTell."
