Founded by Bill Quinn in 1939, Gold Star Records captured the spirit and song of Texarkana, a colloquial term for the area aronud central/western Louisiana and eastern Texas. Cajun, blues, rock n roll and country music could all be heard on Gold Star. While the Gold Star label ceased operations in the mid-1950s, the influence of the greats continues to capture hearts & imaginations.
