“[John Coltrane] was studying Buddha sometime near the last gig [of his life] and found that there was a chant where you could pound your chest and it would change the sound of your voice. He wanted to get that quiver on the horn, and when he couldn’t get it, he’d put the horn down, beat on his chest and scream into the microphone. People really thought he’d lost his mind then.” – Rashied Ali, drummer for John Coltrane

This Bluescentric Brand t-shirt comes in classic heavy 100% preshrunk cotton sizes S-5XL. Heather colors are 50/50. Sizes run very true, and have minimal, if any, shrinking. This is a standard go-to t shirt.

Founded by Bill Quinn in 1939, Gold Star Records captured the spirit and song of Texarkana, a colloquial term for the area around central/western Louisiana and eastern Texas. Cajun, blues, rock n roll and country music could all be heard on Gold Star. While the Gold Star label ceased operations in the mid-1950s, the influence of the greats continues to capture hearts & imaginations.
