A man named Robert Petway first recorded the famous song “Catfish Blues” during one of just two recording sessions for Bluebird Records, and then disappeared, never to be heard from or found again.

This is official Humble Pie merchandise -- every sale directly benefits the band.

The design features a fun radioactive pie, and the words "Humble Pie Tour 1971".

1971 would be the last time Essex-based British invasion rockers Humble Pie would tour with their original lineup of Steve Marriott, Jerry Shirley, bassist Greg Ridley and Peter Frampton.

A&M had just released the widely popular "Humble Pie In Performance At The Fillmore", showcasing Pie's wild, high-energy live shows, and the crowds for the unnamed '71 tour were electric.

Starting in London, Humble Pie quickly crossed the pond and ran a rollicking & debauched national tour from coast to American coast, ending just before Christmas at the famed venue The Warehouse in New Orleans.

Frampton moved on to a successful solo career, replaced by Clem Clemson, and in his absence, the band would release their biggest hit album yet, 1972's SMOKIN', which peaked at #6 on the Billboard chart.
