“You crawl off the bus at four o’clock in the morning, and some journalist’s doing a story and he says, “What would you call an AC/DC tour?” Well, it was a highway to hell. It really was. When you’re sleeping with the singer’s socks two inches from your nose, that’s pretty close to hell.” – Angus Young, Guitar World interview, January 1st, 1993

The concert took place in Madison, Wisconsin on November 21st, 1969, and at that moment, Janis was on top of the world. "Janis Joplin came on with the impact of assassination at Dane County Coliseum last night," crooned the Wisconsin Capital Times, "sending her two-ton voice out over the heads of an audience of about 5,000."

She had just played Woodstock, formed a new band, Kozmic Blues, and had rapidly ascended to be among the biggest rock stars of her era. She played some of her biggest hits: Summertime, Piece of My Heart, Ball n' Chain and a Bo Diddley number.

This exclusive t-shirt design is based on an old newspaper ad promoting that show, and features an era-appropriate halftone photo of Janis. The text reads:
