Led Zepplin’s “When The Levee Breaks” was a cover of Memphis Minnie’s 1927 blues ballad of the same name about the Great Flood of 1927.

The Jazz Workshop in San Francisco opened in 1957 and quickly became a home for modern jazz thanks to legends like Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane. For a brief moment it was one of the most important jazz rooms in the country. before it closed in the late 1960s.
