Jimi Hendrix played a legendary live concert at the Berkeley Community Theatre in California on May 30th, 1970. It was the official formation of a new Jimi Hendrix Experience without Noel Redding. Billy Cox was on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums.
Hendrix played songs including Stone Free, Hey Joe and Foxey Lady. He ended with a wild version of Voodoo Child (Slight Return). The entire performance was filmed, and released in 2003.
