Famed artist MC Hammer got his name from the Oakland A’s Baseball Franchise at 11 years old — Reggie Jackson named him “Hammer” due to his resemblance to “Hammerin'” Hank Aaron — after the young entertainer was hired as a bat boy when he impressed the A’s owner by dancing in the parking lot.

John Lee Hooker - "Boom Boom". Following his late-career resurgence with 1989's The Healer, John Lee Hooker stepped into Russian Hill Recording in San Francisco and the Record Plant in Sausalito to reimagine some of his most iconic songs, including "Boom Boom," which lends this album it's title. A star-studded lineup of contemporary blues greats joined the sessions, including Charlie Musselwhite, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, and Albert Collins.
