While shooting the cover of Pink Floyd’s “Animals”, the floating pig broke loose, grounding airplanes and baffling London before landing about 40 miles away. They ultimately spliced the pig into the cover photo.

It was the hottest ticket of 1967 -- June 16, 17 and 18 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds featured performances by Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, The Grateful Dead, The Butterfield Blues Band, Booker T and the MGs, and The Who's first-ever U.S. performance, where Pete Townshend smashed his guitar in a famous finalé.
