WELCOME TO THE NEW BLUESCENTRIC WEBSITE!

Shuggie Otis played bass on Frank Zappa’s celebrated jazz instrumental “Peaches en Regalia” when he was just fifteen.

This Bluescentric Brand official Monterey Pop Festival ladies t-shirt is available in relaxed fit sizes up to 2XL. The material is a 4.2 oz 100% airlume combed and ringspun cotton with side seams. Heather colors are 52/48, Athletic Heather is 90/10, Heather Prism colors are 99/1.

It was the hottest ticket of 1967 -- June 16, 17 and 18 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds featured performances by Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, The Grateful Dead, The Butterfield Blues Band, Booker T and the MGs, and The Who's first-ever U.S. performance, where Pete Townshend smashed his guitar in a famous finalé.

It was also Jimi Hendrix's U.S. debut, so not to be outdone, he set fire to his own guitar "as a sacrifice".

MPOP would be the blueprint for nearly all music festivals that came after, including Woodstock two years later.

This design is drawn from an original 1967 Monterey Pop day-two front stage ticket. The text reads Monterey International Pop Music Festival, June 17th, 19967 and the location, Monterey County Fairgrounds.
