The Rolling Stones’ longtime saxophonist Bobby Keys was Buddy Holly’s neighbor growing up in Lubbock, Texas. His first tour was with Holly when he was just 15.

This Bluescentric Brand Monterey International Pop Festival t-shirt comes in classic heavy 100% preshrunk cotton sizes S-5XL. Heather colors are 50/50. Sizes run very true, and have minimal, if any, shrinking. This is a standard go-to t shirt.

Held in 1967, the Monterey International Pop Music Festival was The Who's first U.S. performance, so Pete Townshend smashed his guitar in a famous finale. It was also Jimi Hendrix's American debut. Not to be outdone by Townshend, Hendrix set fire to his guitar "as a sacrifice" at the end of his performance.

MIPF also hosted famed performances by Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, The Grateful Dead, The Butterfield Blues Band, Booker T and the MGs, that made many acts household names almost overnight.
