For years, Wells and Buddy Guy worked as a team. Together they recorded the must-listen hit album "Hoodoo Man Blues", and Alligator's "Alone and Acoustic". He recorded a number of hits, including "Hoodoo Man Blues" and " Messin With The Kid".
