Four months after stunning soul singer Baby Huey’s death at just 26, “The Baby Huey Story” was released (by Curtis Mayfield) and quietly became one of the most influential albums of the era, sampled by musical legends including Tribe Called Quest, Ice Cube, Ghostface Killah, The Roots, John Legend, Will.i.am & Wu-Tang Clan.

This is a Bluescentric Brand official Paul Butterfield Long Sleeve T-Shirt, available in several colors and sizes up to 5XL! The material is pre-shrunk 100% heavy cotton (athletic heather 99%) 6oz with double-needle sleeve and bottom hem, and long sleeves.

Every sale directly benefits the Butterfield estate!

Honing his musician skills growing up in Chicago, Butterfield learned directly from the greats like Muddy Waters before forming his own band -- which included guitarist Mike Bloomfield and a young Elvin Bishop. Butterfield sang and played blues harmonica.

After a landmark performance at 1965's Newport Folk Festival (including that pivotal moment backing Bob Dylan when he "went electric") the group recorded their eponymous first album, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, a raw, brazen and powerful mix of electric Chicago style blues & rock & roll.

The album features rocking originals and rolling covers of Elmore James, Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon and more.
