Released in 1977, Pink Floyd's ANIMALS is a concept album that uses the metaphor of farm animals to critique social and political structures. The three main animals—pigs, dogs, and sheep—symbolize different classes and behaviors within society.

The pigs represent the corrupt and oppressive ruling class. The dogs symbolize the aggressive and ruthless enforcers of power. The sheep embody the passive, conformist masses who follow blindly. This allegorical approach let the band explore themes of control, inequality, and rebellion.
