Son House was, in many ways, a living embodiment of the Blues. Eddie James "Son" House Jr was born in the Mississippi Delta around 1902, and became both a prolific delta blues musician and a fiery preacher in a time when churches derided blues as devil's music. Son House's haunting, deeply personal music set a course for waves of Blues and Rock n Roll.
