John Lennon was scheduled to be in the studio when Tom Petty was recording 1981’s Hard Promises, but was murdered before he could arrive. The album’s first pressings had the the phrase “WE LOVE YOU J.L.” etched into the run-out groove.

This is an AUTHENTIC delta blues poster -- NOT A REPRODUCTION. It is one-of-a-kind.

The showbill is advertising the first annual Blues Fest of '97 in Greenwood, Mississippi on Saturday March 8th, 1997.

These posters were often nailed to walls, poles, etc. in the Mississippi delta, and as such, have the general grit that you would expect from a real poster: nail holes & small rust spots, light water stains, slight ink wear, light creases, etc.

This is a large poster, measuring 33" tall by 21.5" wide. It is an original Globe Poster Printing poster, and so is extremely thick heavyweight poster paper.

The artists featured on this poster are Lenny Williams ("Cause I Love You" and "Drifting"), Willie Clayton ("3 People Sleeping in my Bed" and "Equal Opportunity"), Pat Brown, Ronnie Lovejoy ("Think About You All the Time"), Ollie Nightingale ("Treat Her Right" and "May the Best Man Win.")

Posters are shipped FLAT (not rolled) with extremely great care and acid-free packaging!
