“Do Diddley was up in Kansas City when he first heard “Who Do You Love” in his head, listening to a gang of children bigging up to one another, chanting insults at one another, and calling names to a rhythm that intrigued him.” – Bayou Underground: Tracing the Mythical Roots of American Popular Music’ by Dave Thompson (2010)

Since Waylon had narrated the earlier movie Moonrunners in 1975 that the Dukes of Hazzard was based on, they asked him to provide the theme song to the show. So in 1980, Waylon released the song "Theme from The Dukes of Hazzard (Good Ol' Boys)" on his hit album Music Man. The show was quickly and massively popular and the opening line, "Just a good ol boys" became a household phrase.

This outlaw country shirt design features Waylon Jennings, 1980 when the song was released, and "Just a Good Ol Boy".
