Bukka White’s guitar, affectionately named “Hard Rock”, was a 1933 National Duolian steel-bodied single cone Resonator, Serial No C7094, made in USA. He gifted it to U.K. photographer Keith Perry in 1976.

This striking woodcut style ink pin drawing of Lead Belly comes directly from the cover of the musicianer's Memorial concert, held in New York City on January 28th, 1950 - just a little over two months after the guitarist's passing. 

Artists & organizers of the memorial included Alan Lomax, Rev. Gary Davis, W.C. Handy, Woody Guthrie, Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee, and many more.
