From Crossroads to Westport & Beyond, Kansas City’s Greatest Vinyl Record Haunts
Kansas City’s vinyl scene runs deep — from the Crossroads Arts District and 39th Street to Westport and the Troost corridor. This is a city of jazz history- and crate-digging lifers. You can spend a whole day hopping shop to shop and still feel like you barely scratched the surface! With the deep musical roots in 18th & Vine and a live music scene that always keeps touring bands coming through, Kansas City is a bastion for music.
With our factory right down the road, we’ve been digging Kansas City’s record crates for many years! You can even find authentic Bluescentric band shirts and merchandise in some of these esteemed stores. So we wrote a handy guide to our favorite record stores in Kansas City.
Use this guide to plan a single-day loop, or pick one area at a time. P.S. If we missed your favorite KC record store, email us—we’ll check it out and add it.
