Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers was drafted into the Vietnam war, so he threw a “Foot Shootin’ Party” with his brother Duane, and shot himself in the foot to get out of it.

According to Dan Aykroyd, while a young man in Ottawa, he filled in on drums one night behind Muddy Waters (for Mud’s regular drummer S.P. Leary).
