Before being discovered, Howlin’ Wolf hosted a radio show in KWEM in West Memphis, Arkansas where his house band included Matt “Guitar” Murphy (later of Blues Brothers Fame), Junior Parker and Willie Johnson.

Bukka White’s “Shake Em On Down” has been covered by Mississippi Fred McDowell, Led Zeppelin, R.L. Burnside, North Mississippi Allstars, Savoy Brown and Black Crowes, to name a few.
