Primus bassist Les Claypool covered a 1980 song “The Awakening” that was written & first recorded by Otis Redding’s three sons. The cover appeared on Claypool’s album “Highball with the Devil”.

Curiously, Big Brother and the Holding Company’s album “Cheap Thrills” was “Approved by the Hells Angels” on the cover — early on, the biker gang were benefactors and provided many gigs for the band.
