Guitarist Warren Haynes and bassist Allen Woody formed Gov’t Mule in 1996 as a side project, when the two were not touring with The Allman Brothers.

Dr. John played the guitar on Professor Longhair’s 1980 album “Crawfish Fiesta” on Alligator Records.
