In 1965 The Kinks’ drummer Mick Avory once knocked out vocalist/guitarist Ray Davies with his hi-hat stand live on stage, following a dispute after performing “You Really Got Me”.

Howlin’ Wolf was discovered by Sun Records’ Sam Phillips, who heard Wolf performing live on the West Memphis, Arkansas KWEM radio station in 1951.
