The Gaslight Cafe in Greenwich Village, NY, was one of the epicenters for the 60’s folk music boom and closed in 1971.

In the mid 1970s, when he was largely unknown, Stevie Ray Vaughan was invited to jam in Dallas with ZZ Top on their cover of the Nightcaps’ song “Thunderbird”.
