On New Year’s Eve 1978 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, The Blues Brothers Show Band and Revue were opening for New Riders of the Purple Sage and The Grateful Dead when someone laced the entire band’s drinks with acid just before the set.

Janis Joplin’s famous psychedelic Porsche was stolen in 1969 and partially painted over with primer before police caught the thieves. The mural was restored.
