During John Lennon’s 1980 murder, the only witness & closest man at the scene was the building’s new doorman, Jose Perdomo, who was actually a CIA spook — present at the Bay of Pigs & mentioned by name in the memoirs of a CIA operative who was caught & jailed in the Watergate Scandal. After making a statement about Lennon’s murder, Perdomo was never seen again.

Joe Tex wrote the Checker Records hit “You Keep Her” about a girl that James Brown “stole” from Tex. He calls out Brown by name in the first line.
