The popular 60s beehive hairstyle was known as the B-52 for its resemblance to the Boeing B-52 bomber nose. The band The B-52s named themselves after their members Cindy Wilson and Kate Piersons’ beehive haircuts.

Never signed to the label, John Coltrane only recorded one album for Blue Note Records: the 1958 classic Blue Train.
