After singer/songwriter Gram Parsons died of an overdose near Joshua Tree National Park, his friends stole a hearse with his body and set his coffin on fire to cremate him in the park in accordance with his final wishes.

On their 1993 album ‘Jericho’, The Band covered Bruce Springsteen’s song “Atlantic City”, off his 1982 solo album ‘Nebraska’.
