Influenced by Brian Jones’ use of a theremin in The Beach Boys’ hit song “Good Vibrations”, Jimmy Page added a theramin solo in the middle of the song “Dazed and Confused” from Led Zeppelin’s 1969 self-titled debut album.

One of the undisputed best live releases of all time, Sam Cooke’s 1963 “Live at the Harlem Square Club” was left unreleased by RCA Records for over 22 years… because it was too “loud, raw, artful and raucous”.
