Before being discovered, Howlin’ Wolf hosted a radio show in KWEM in West Memphis, Arkansas where his house band included Matt “Guitar” Murphy (later of Blues Brothers Fame), Junior Parker and Willie Johnson.

Peter Frampton & David Bowie went to the same grade school, and according to Frampton, spent lunches together playing Buddy Holly songs.
