Marvin Gaye’s first lead vocals were performed in 1959 at Chess Records, for his band Harvey and the New Moonglows. When the act failed to chart, Marvin disbanded & moved to Detroit, soon capturing the attention of Motown’s Barry Gordy.

Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett wrote a song called “Bob Dylan Blues” in 1965, and recorded it during sessions for his solo album “Barrett”, but the song was unreleased and largely unknown until it was released in 2001.
