Levon Helm’s first musical endeavor post-The Band was to form a short-lived musical group called The RCO All-Stars, which included Dr. John, Booker T Jones, Chuck Berry, Paul Butterfield, and the Stax / Blues Brothers’ members Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn, Tom Malone Lou Marini and Alan Rubin… among others.

Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright took a twenty one year hiatus on recording lead vocals for the band — Singing on “Time” for 1973’s Dark Side and not again until “Wearing the Inside Out” on 1994’s The Division Bell.
